When reporting a bug, please include your macOS version, TRACERAY version, the audio format, and steps to reproduce.

Quick start

Open audio: use Open (or Finder “Open with…”) to load a track.
Seek: click/drag in the timeline. The playhead stays frame‑synced.
Playlists: open the playlist panel and drag files or folders in.
Visualization: choose Waveform or Spectrogram in Settings → Playback.
Minimalist mode: toggle for a compact view with the spectrogram as the main canvas.

Shortcuts

Space / K: Play / Pause
J / L: Jump −5s / +10s
P / N: Previous / Next track
R: Cycle repeat mode
S: Toggle shuffle
M: Toggle minimalist mode

Markers & exports

Markers: right‑click the timeline → “Add Marker at Playhead”.
Export: right‑click the timeline → “Export Snapshot…” to save a PNG.

Troubleshooting

Track won’t load

Try opening a different format (MP3/M4A/WAV/FLAC).
Check file permissions and whether the file is on an external drive.
Clear cache in Settings → Library → Storage & Cache.

UI feels slow during resizing

TRACERAY renders heavy visualizations after resizing finishes and shows a “rendering” overlay when needed. If you still see lag, share the file format + duration with support.
